Enterprise Group PLC has announced a remarkable 30% increase in dividend payments to shareholders following a strong financial performance in 2024. The company declared a final dividend of GH 0.126 per share, translating into a total payout of approximately GHS 22.5 million. This move underscores Enterprise Group’s commitment to delivering value to its investors while maintaining its position as one of Ghana’s leading financial services providers.
The announcement was made at the company’s 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in Accra. Board Chairman Keli Gadzekpo attributed the impressive performance to a combination of strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and significant investments in technology. According to him, these efforts have been instrumental in enhancing customer experiences and streamlining operations across the Group’s subsidiaries.
Enterprise Group’s 2024 financial year saw a substantial turnaround compared to the previous year. Insurance revenue surged by 30.5%, with total gross written premiums hitting GHS 1.58 billion. Net profit after tax also witnessed a major recovery, rising sharply by 49.6% to reach GHS 366 million. This growth is particularly significant when compared to the 24.7% decline in net profits recorded in 2023, a year that was impacted by the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standards.
Speaking at the AGM, Mr. Gadzekpo highlighted the role of discipline and innovation in driving the Group’s success. He emphasized that the company’s focus on customer-centric solutions and adoption of cutting-edge technology had strengthened premium collections and service delivery. These measures have not only boosted profitability but also reinforced the Group’s resilience in a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Looking forward, Enterprise Group is optimistic about Ghana’s economic outlook in 2025. With signs of macroeconomic recovery such as fiscal discipline, tax reforms, and renewed investor confidence, the company expects to build on its current momentum. The Group has also outlined plans to invest heavily in employee development and expand its footprint in Nigeria as part of its regional growth strategy.
Enterprise Group’s 2024 performance and dividend increase reflect its dedication to sustainable growth and value creation for shareholders. As Ghana’s financial services industry continues to evolve, the company appears well-positioned to maintain its leadership and drive innovation across its operations.
