MTN Ghana has announced impressive full-year results for 2025, with profit after tax (PAT) surging by nearly 56% to GHS 7.8 billion compared with the previous year. This strong performance was supported by solid growth across its key business units, particularly in data, financial technology and digital services, amid a more favorable economic climate.

The company’s service revenue reached GHS 24.4 billion, a 36.2% increase year-on-year. Data revenue jumped by almost 49%, Mobile Money (MoMo) income rose by 35.7%, and digital revenue more than doubled, reflecting growing demand for internet-enabled services.
Cost discipline contributed to a 43.5% rise in Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) to GHS 14.7 billion, with the EBITDA margin widening by three percentage points to 60.1 %, underlining stronger operating efficiency.
MTN Dividend Payment Date for 2025
In recognition of the robust results, MTN Ghana’s Board of Directors has proposed a final dividend of GHS 0.40 per share – up from GHS 0.24 last year – pending approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. The dividend is expected to be paid on April 10, 2026, and ex-dividend date at March 24, 2026.
Chief Executive Officer Stephen Blewett said the company’s 2025 performance was driven by strategic investments in network expansion and customer-focused initiatives. He also highlighted the positive effect of a slowing inflation rate and a stronger local currency, which helped improve consumer purchasing power.
MTN Ghana also reported growth in key operational indicators: total mobile subscribers increased by 9.2% to reach 31.2 million; active data users grew by 13.7% to 19.9 million; and active MoMo users increased by 12.3% to 19.3 million. These gains were supported by GHS 6.4 billion in capital expenditure, much of which was allocated to network infrastructure upgrades and expanded 4G coverage.
Looking forward, Blewett said MTN Ghana is well-positioned to build on its momentum as the broader economy improves. The company reiterated its medium-term outlook, forecasting continued double-digit service revenue growth and sustained strong EBITDA margins.
